Welcome to the Ile d’Oléron at Les Sables Vignier Plage, a 3-star family campsite by the sea in the commune of Saint-Georges d’Oléron, between the port of La Cotinière and the village of Domino in Charente-Maritime. We’re delighted to welcome you from April to October to our 5-hectare woodland of holm oak, plane mulberry and maritime pine.

Close to the campsite in St-Georges d’Oléron, you can enjoy a wide range of leisure activities on the beach: fishing on foot, sand yachting, angling at the end of the Pointe de la Chardonnière, water sports ( good stand up paddle, kayak)… Just a few hundred metres from the seaside campsite on the Ile d’Oléron.

The 3-star Les Sables Vignier Plage campsite on the Ile d’Oléron has a large pool area. The 200m² heated swimming pool is open from May to the end of September from 10am to 7pm and until 8pm in July and August.
Accommodation rental on the island of Oleron
We have 255 pitches with mobile homes, unusual accommodation and pitches for tents, caravans or motor homes. Our mobile homes are built on plots of 100 to 190 m², most of them planted with flowers and trees, and are grouped into 4 categories (from 1 to 4 bedrooms), and according to their equipment, from standard to high comfort, from the arbour to the covered terrace, from retro (the oldest) to brand new! Our mobile homes can accommodate from 1 to 10 people (with the option of adding a cot).
For nature lovers, our unusual accommodations include a Kenya tent, a Robinson tent, Cocos Sweet and Barrels for 1 to 4 people. Our standard or comfort camping pitches (with arbour and table), with a surface area of 80 to 100 m², can accommodate 1 to 6 people in tents, caravans or motor homes. A wide choice to suit all tastes and budgets for a holiday at one of the most popular star-rated campsites on the Ile d’Oléron. The “Les Sables” restaurant, located at the entrance to Camping, is one of the best addresses on the Ile d’Oléron. At lunchtime, for less than 20 Euros, we offer a daily starter-main course-dessert menu based on fresh produce. Depending on what’s available, fish and seafood are represented. The à la carte menu also features the chef’s own specialities at unbeatable value for money. Moules-frites and thin, crispy pizzas are also excellent. Open daily in high season.
At the entrance to the campsite you’ll find a shop where you can buy newspapers, essential foodstuffs, bread, pastries and beachwear.
In summer, our campsite offers activities and entertainment for young and old. Children aged 4 to 12 can also enjoy the children’s club, outdoor play areas and the “funny hut” during their stay at our campsite, one of the most “natural” campsites on the Atlantic coast. For teenagers and adults, there’s no shortage of leisure activities either: various sports tournaments are organized on the pétanque and multi-sports fields, not to mention theme evenings to which everyone is invited! - For the little ones (-3 years): We have a cot available (remember to bring your own sheets), as well as a high chair, a bath and a changing mat. These accessories must be booked in advance when making your reservation to guarantee their availability.
- Sheet and towel pack hire: For those who want to travel light, we offer sheet and towel packs for hire. A single bed pack (€14) or a double bed pack (€18) including pillowcases, flat sheets and duvet cover. A towel kit (€10.50) with one large and one small towel is also available. A bath mat can be hired for €2.50, or is included free of charge for every 3 bath kits hired.
- Fridge hire for camping pitches: If you need a fridge, we offer this option at €50 per week or €8 per day.
- Hire of electrical adapters for camping pitches: For your electrical needs, adapters are available for hire (€5) to make your stay easier.
- Wi-Fi connection via fibre: Enjoy Wi-Fi coverage throughout the campsite. We offer packages from €7 for 1 device for 3 days, 12€ for 1 appliance for 1 week, 22€ for 2 appliances for 1 week or 24€ for 1 appliance for 2 weeks.
- Low seasondepartures: In low season, you can take advantage of afternoon departures for €30 (subject to availability of our accommodation team, to be checked directly with reception).
- Sun loungers for hire: For your moments of relaxation, you can hire a sun lounger for €10 per day or per week.
- Bicycle hire: To explore the surrounding area, we offer you the possibility of hiring bicycles. Our rates are available at the bottom of the home page.

Discover Ile d’Oléron in Charente-Maritime
The Ile d’Oléron is located in France’s Charente-Maritime region, just below the Ile de Ré. It’s the largest island on the French coast (35 km long and 12 km wide) after Corsica, and offers a multitude of landscapes, beaches, forests, marshes and rocky cliffs in perfect harmony. Its coastline stretches over a hundred kilometers.
Its exceptional climate, iodized air and local produce are the main guarantees of an unforgettable stay. Its high level of sunshine has earned it the nickname “Oléron la Lumineuse”, given to it by the writer Pierre Loti. The island has been known since antiquity, with the oldest remains found dating back to 50 BC.
From the Sables Vignier Plage campsite, you can visit many buildings dating from the Middle Ages (11th to 13th centuries), sail to Fort Boyard and admire Vauban’s 17th-century fortifications, discover the town of St Pierre d’Oléron and the home of Pierre Loti’s grandparents, or St Trojan les Bains and its Belle Époque architecture.
